Being There When Needed
Extending a hand to others is an important commitment for our church. Perhaps these words in Galatians 5:13 say it best:
“Through love, make it your habit to serve one another.”
Christ Worship Center strives to be an active member of our community. Here are some recent projects — examples of the kinds of activities you can expect from our church members throughout the year.
Church’s Teens Extend
Their Hearts
Teen-agers from Christ Worship Center showed what compasion and caring really mean, as they recently made visits to a nursing home in White House.
Residents of White House Health Care and Rehabilitation couldn’t help but smile as the youngsters came by to sing, read Scripture, and be a good neighbor.
Free Parking and Barbecue
For Fireworks Show
During the White House Chamber of Commerce holiday fireworks show, the public was invited to park in our lot and to bring the kids into our Fellowship Hall to enjoy a complimentary dinner of hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, and ice cold sodas. Parents commented that it was great to have a family meal before joining the city’s festivities.
Community Revival
Focuses On Faith
Those from the White House community who were seeking to strengthen their faith enjoyed a “down home” revival at Christ Worship Center.
Entitled A Weekend of Miracles this community-wide gathering proclaimed that “with God, nothing shall be impossible.” (Luke 1:37).
Participants were encouraged to “Be A Miracle.”
Evangelist Jerry Holland presided. His e-mail address: Jerry@amiracleforyou.com
Partnering With Other Groups
Providing sustenance for individuals and families in need is a service that many churches, non-profit groups, and service organizations embrace in the White House area.
Christ Worship Center is honored to be a part of this regional effort through its partnership with care-giving entities and the management of its community food bank.
